Which build is which
Alpha, demo, playtest, Early Access
These are four different access states. The August 2025 Playtest is not the demo. The Patreon alpha is not the public demo. Early Access on 17 November 2026 is the paid Steam launch of the sequel, not a fifth test.
Playtest
Steam app 3794500 is dated 3 August 2025 and is flagged Windows-only. That app date describes the old Playtest, not the public demo or Early Access. An “August release” label alone does not identify a build; compare its app ID and date. Use the current main store page for the demo rather than treating the old test as today’s entry point.
Patreon alpha
The current public Patreon membership description lists closed Alpha access via Steam for Elite Supporters. Historical progress posts in November 2025, June 2026 and September 2026 described Windows, macOS and Linux Alpha access through Steam or standalone builds. Those dated statements are preserved as history, not proof of a public standalone installer today.
The November 2025 post says Alpha saves are not wiped. The current membership notice ends the release Steam key benefit for new qualifying subscriptions from 27 October 2026 at 08:00 AWST (UTC+8), while earlier Elite Supporters retain that benefit. It does not say memberships or Alpha access have closed, and Alpha access is not ownership of the release game.
Demo and Early Access
The public demo is app 5373510, free, from 19 October 2026, on Windows, macOS and Linux, Act 1, cap 60. Early Access is app 3218350 on 17 November 2026. Demo saves move forward. The skill count in the demo post is internally inconsistent (22 and 21). Early Access is described as 25 skills and cap 99.

Editorial notes
Each access state is tied to its app ID or dated official membership description. Older standalone Alpha wording is retained as historical context, not a current public download promise. No installer or private Alpha access was used as evidence.
Questions
Is the demo the same as the alpha?
No. The alpha is the Patreon closed build. The demo is the public Steam app 5373510.
Can I still join the August playtest?
The playtest app is not the current way in. Use the demo button on the main store page.
Is Early Access a beta?
Steam calls it Early Access. The studio’s estimate for that stage is 12 to 18 months. It is the paid release window, not another closed test.
