Buy to play
Melvor Idle 2 price
The official April 2025 FAQ lists Melvor Idle 2 at $14.99 USD and says that price stays the same at full release. Steam was not selling the game on 29 October 2026, so the store page showed no price.
Two facts that look like a contradiction
They are not the same field. The FAQ is a published price. Steam’s price_overview was null when appdetails was fetched on 29 October 2026, because the app is still “coming soon” and the buy button is not live. Wishlist and the free demo are what the store offers today.
The Early Access Q&A on the store page says the Early Access price will be the full-release price. It does not print a second number. I use $14.99 from the FAQ, and I do not invent a regional price. Regional pricing was not in the sources I checked.
What the purchase includes
The FAQ says the game is buy-to-play with no microtransactions. Expansions are separate paid packs. Each expansion is described as raising the level cap and adding story, skills, quests and a permanent mode. Expansion prices are not listed.
The same FAQ says smaller free content updates are planned after the full release. Melvor Idle 1’s Steam price, for comparison, is $9.99 on app 1267910. That is a different game. It is not a discount on Melvor Idle 2.
What you can play without paying
The demo, app 5373510, is free. Patreon has supporter tiers, and the Elite tier has included a closed alpha, but that is not the Steam store price. From 27 October 2026, Patreon stopped sending new release keys. Do not treat a Patreon pledge as a preorder of the $14.99 Steam copy unless the Patreon page says so on the day you pledge.

Questions
Is Melvor Idle 2 free?
The demo is free. The game itself has a published $14.99 price and is not free-to-play.
Is it pay to win?
The FAQ says there are no microtransactions. Paid expansions are planned. That is not the same as a cash shop inside a match.
Can I preorder?
There is no preorder SKU on the Steam page checked 29 October 2026. You can wishlist and play the demo.
