Melvor Idle 2 gameplay
Melvor Idle 2 is a 2D idle RPG with a reworked interface, day and night, weather, quests and Mastery Guilds. The official lore animation has a click-to-load player on this page; Gameplay Trailer 1 is available separately through the Steam store link. The lore player does not load YouTube until you press play.
What the screenshots are actually showing
Steam hosts ten 1920×1080 screenshots on app 3218350. They show a wolf fight, mining nodes, Willow Bow fletching, fishing, an astrology constellation, Hunting with traps, Thieving targets including a craftsman, fisherman and chef, Pointy Preparation quest dialogue, the Firemaking Mastery Guild, and a rune dagger on the smithing screen. These are advertised interfaces, not evidence of a private play session.
Store screenshots are not labelled “demo” or “Early Access” by Valve. The demo post says Astrology, Herblore and Agility are not in the demo, while an astrology frame is on the store page. Treat store art as the game, not as a promise about today’s demo build.
The two official videos
The embedded film is “Introducing the world of Melvor | Melvor Idle 2 Lore Animation” on the Melvor Idle YouTube channel, 6 minutes 3 seconds. Public video metadata gives 2026-10-05T18:36:17-07:00, so the source-local date is 5 October and the UTC date is 6 October. Credits including Ferr Animation, Zach Hoffman, Matteo Palmer and Cody Williams come from the video description, a single official source.
Steam’s only trailer is titled Gameplay Trailer 1 (movie id 257443573). It is an HLS stream on Steam’s CDN, not a YouTube upload, and the store API does not give an upload date I can put on a second video object. Watch it on the store page: the trailer button sits on app 3218350. A creator video, “Melvor Idle 2 - Gameplay” by Game Mojo, is a third-party demo recording. It is not a studio guide.

Yes. Steam calls it Gameplay Trailer 1. The YouTube film is a lore animation, not that trailer.

Are these screenshots from the demo?
