Names & caps
Melvor Idle 2 skills
The full-game target is 29 skills and level 120. Early Access is described as 25 skills and level 99. The demo post says 22 out of 25 and, later in the same post, 21 skills, with a cap of 60. A complete name list has not been published.
New skills that have names
The 20 November 2025 progress post names Ranching, Hunting and Beastcrafting as new. Those are the only three skills I will call “new to Melvor Idle 2” . Astrology, Herblore and Agility are Melvor Idle skills. The demo announcement says those three are absent from the demo and the Early Access post says they join that build. “New in Early Access relative to the demo” is not “new in the series”.
The April 2025 FAQ says five brand-new skills. Two of those five still have no official name. I am leaving the cells blank rather than copying names from another fan wiki.
What Steam screenshots show
The store page for app 3218350 includes screenshots of combat, mining, fletching a Willow Bow, fishing, an astrology constellation, Hunting, Thieving, the Pointy Preparation quest, the Firemaking Mastery Guild, and smithing a rune dagger. These are official store images, not proof of demo availability. Astrology is the clear example: it appears on a store screenshot while the demo announcement excludes it.
The June 2026 update says it added 12 skills (eight combat and four non-combat), 731 items, 135 monsters, 40 spells, 34 prayers and 12 pets. These are additions in that update, not full-game totals. The post does not list the 12 skill names in a table I can reprint. I am not reconstructing the twelve from the first game.
Level caps, including the first game
Melvor Idle’s base cap is 99. The Throne of the Herald expansion raises that game to 120. Melvor Idle 2’s full-game target of 120 is not “the first game never had 120”. The sequel’s own stages are demo 60, Early Access 99, full game 120, from the posts cited below.
| Stage | Skill count | Level cap | Named additions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Demo | 22 out of 25, and also 21 | 60 | Astrology, Herblore, Agility called out as absent |
| Early Access | 25 | 99 | Those three return; four new guild ranks |
| Full game target | 29 | 120 | Five new skills; only Ranching, Hunting, Beastcrafting named |
| Alpha (Patreon) | 25, per supporter copy | Not separately published | Saves promised kept |
